Hello Love-Filled Readers!
We have been getting some great recommendations lately for clean, family-friendly movies. Yes, thankfully, they do exist! I thought I might start a list, a sort of resource, where nice, clean family television shows or films could be shared. Maybe you’re looking for something nice to play around the house, or maybe you’re doing some shopping for grandchildren and are not sure what is good these days? Try this list!
Have any to add? List them in the comments section! If I have seen it, and can vouch for it, I’ll add it to the list.
Just so’s ya know, this is not an attempt to get religious over what shows “can” contain and “can’t” contain. That is up to each individual family to decide. π This is just a list for you to choose from! A good rule of thumb: if it makes me cringe, I won’t recommend it. This doesn’t mean that I won’t watch it and it’s “bad”, it just means I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending it to others. You can always state your own recommendations in the comments section. Also, if I recommend it and you wouldn’t touch it with a ten-foot-pole, then definitely don’t watch. π
Note: we don’t have cable, and so the vast majority of these recommendations are available for viewers without cable. Mostly Netflix Instant (NI), Amazon Prime (AP), and Redbox (RB).
Here’s to good clean family fun!

Dandy

Is this new? I just noticed it. Anyway, great list! I’m so glad I found it. We try and do a family movie and pizza night every Monday, and it gets increasingly harder to find quality, bad-attitude-free stuff for our kids to watch. :p
So… here’s some that I thought I’d share, in case you want to add them. Don’t know how strict you are, but these are some we like! We don’t have Netflix, and I don’t know if any of these are on Amazon…
Kid’s Movies:
Bambi
Lady & The Tramp
Balto
Horton Hears A Who (the one with Jim Carey)
Curious George (the movie, not the show)
Tin Tin (the movie, not the show – does have some drinking in it…)
Shows:
Smarter Every Day (youtube)
Planet Earth
Thanks for the great list!
Raia, thanks for the additions! I will add them to the list as soon as I can! (It’s on my to-do list!) These look great! We love all these movies too – will have to try Smarter Every Day! Thanks for stopping by. π
