I’d like to take a break from my usual post-writing to tell you about two people who are very dear to me. These special people are Dan and Linda Wilson, the founders of Supernatural Marriage Ministries.
A Marriage on a Mission
Dan and Linda are a husband-and-wife team living their purpose: let the world know about God’s design for marriage and what it means to married couples, and those planning to get married one day. Their life’s work is dedicated to spreading God’s love and sharing insight into His desires for married couples – and His desires are beyond anything we could comprehend! They will instantly show you how much fun HOLY can be. . . and they eagerly desire for marriage to be recognized for the amazing masterpiece it is – a look into God’s heart for people, and a shadow of our relationship with Jesus, the One and Only.
I had first heard of their book, Supernatural Marriage, in an interview Dan had granted to a radio program I listened to often. I was impressed by how down-to-earth Dan sounded and was intrigued by the book, which I immediately bought. After reading it, I first “met” Dan and Linda by contacting their web site, SupernaturalMarriage.org to tell them how much their book meant to me. In a surprising turn of events, Dan, Linda, and I quickly realized we had attended the same church in Texas together several years back! How funny in retrospect. We have kept in touch and my respect and admiration for them grows each and every time I communicate with them. They are so in love with Jesus and each other!
And when I was going through a rough ordeal recovering from surgery and an infection, they kept in close contact and prayed for me often. I know their prayers and wisdom helped get me through that tough time. Thank God for loving friends!
Helping Those in Need
While Dan and Linda are “marriage missionaries”, spreading their knowledge and wisdom in the area of intimacy led by God Himself, they also realize God’s heart and zeal for taking care of widows and orphans. . . so much that they substantially assist orphanages in India, China, and Uganda, as well as persecuted Christians in Pakistan. At the time of this writing, they assist the:
- Noah’s Ark Orphanage in Chennai, India
- Hope for the Children Orphanage in Beijing, China
- Hope Mission Orphanage near Vijayawada, India
- and the Amen and Amen Orphanage outside Kampala, Uganda
You can read even more about these particular ministries here.
I personally felt led to lend support by donating a portion of this website’s proceeds to these particular causes, especially knowing firsthand Dan’s and Linda’s level of integrity. I think it’s truly amazing that 100% of money donated to the orphanages goes directly to them. That means that when you click on links through posts or the sidebar, you are also a part of bringing hope to widows and orphans who will be served in love!
God at Work
I also wanted to share with you a recent testimony pertaining to one of these missions: the Hope Mission Orphanage in India. Dan and Linda received word that the head of the orphanage, Pastor Emmanuel, was under extreme duress due to a number of character attacks.
Here’s a portion of the email I received from Linda:
Minutes ago Dan Skyped with Pastor Emmanuel in Vijayawada. In June he had been falsely accused of coercing people to accept Jesus. Police began taunting him, threatening jail time. False witnesses were brought in to testify. It was very serious and very ugly.
Somehow he had opportunity to talk with the Superintendent of police who believed him and said he could tell that Emmanuel was a good and honest man. This superintendent then sent orders down the ranks for the harassment to stop. It has stopped, but Emmanuel and his precious wife Nissi are still reeling from the attack. They have both lost lots of weight and suffered some illness and their toddler-aged son is still sickly. Dan talked with him about forgiveness.
They really need our prayers for peace, courage, health, no more fear… They are strong. They are overcomers. We believe this attack is proof that they are a threat to the darkness in Vijayawada.
Captivated by His love,
Not too much later, another email from a member of the Supernatural Marriage team, Rebekah:

Another update on Pastor Emmanuel and Hope Mission in India:
Hope Mission took in a dozen or so new orphans in Vijayawada this summer and have been housing them in a rented building. A wealthy man in Vijayawada (not a Christian) was impressed with Pastor Emmanuel’s desire to help others. The man had purchased nice land and had begun building (foundation laid) a four story apartment on the property. He plans to move to the U.S. in January to live with his sons. Since the man does not really need more money a this time, he decided to give it to Hope Mission. Pastor Emmanuel received the title this week, PTL!
In addition to that astonishing gift, the sons in America offered to contribute $20,000 toward the $50,000 needed to complete the four story building. Pastor Emmanuel does not know this yet, but SMM will be contacting him today because an SMM donor has offered $15,000 toward the project. All Hope Mission needs to do now is raise the final $15,000 before the end of the year as construction continues. By January 1 they should have the entire 6400 sq. ft. building completed. It will be a home for the orphans, office headquarters for Hope Mission, a pastor residence, and an apartment that can be used for ministry visitors to Vijayawada. (See drawings attached and the picture of current construction.)
Hope Mission also received $1000 last week and used it to bring food and supplies to 40 Christian families suffering from the massive flooding in the area. He was very excited to be able to help them in this physical way.
Isn’t that astounding! God has done so much so quickly for Pastor Emmanuel and Hope Mission. We have no doubt the final $15,000 will be donated soon. Yeah!
Thank you- Rebekah and so many who prayed with us concerning Pastor Emmanuel. This is a HUGE shift in the development of his ministry. It has all happened SUDDENLY after successfully overcoming the intense attack against his character that came from the kingdom of darkness. A GREAT VICTORY IS BEING WON AND YOU ARE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BATTLE FIGHTING FOR THE KINGDOM OF LIGHT!
BLESS YOU…BLESS YOU…BLESS YOU!!!
It was such a joy to receive this last email and see how God was working on behalf of Pastor Emmanuel and Hope Mission!!
If you have been wondering or praying about how to help out orphans or widows, maybe this is something you can consider or pray over. You can contact Dan or Linda with any questions you might have here.
Also, the Wilsons sent me some recent photos, and I’d love to share them with you:
The colorful building and pictures of laying the foundation are for the “Noah’s Ark” orphanage being built in cooperation with Bishop Samson in Chennai. It is for 125 children, 25 with disabilities. They have been living 10 years in a place they have to evacuate twice a year due to massive, recurrent flooding. That is why it is called “Noah’s Ark!”
Both projects need funds, and both hope to be completed by the end of the year.
Thanks for reading about these ministries and missions! We will never know on this side of Heaven just how much our prayers and support helps those in need, but I fully believe one day in eternity God will show us – what an amazing, humbling reward to get to see lives changed forever.
If you would like to donate to any of these orphanages, you can do so here.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, Dan and Linda, for all that you’ve done for me and do for others.
