How to Make Soaked Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons raw apple cider vinegar
  • 23 tablespoons unbleached flour or whole wheat flour
  • filtered water
  • 3 cups milk of your choice
  • 1/4 cup preferred sweetener
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • add-ins: fresh fruit, dried fruit, fruit powder, frozen fruit, cinnamon . . . anything you want!

Instructions

Place your oats in a large glass or ceramic mixing bowl.

Add 2 – 3 tablespoons wheat flour (can be white or whole wheat) to your oats, and stir them with a spoon or whisk to mix.

Add 2 tablespoons raw apple cider vinegar and stir well

Cover with a clean tea towel and leave in a dry place overnight

Rinse under running water for a few seconds and drain

Place rinsed oats in a saucepan, add milk and turn on low heat, stirring constantly to heat through

Add up to 1/4 cup coconut oil, as well as vanilla and preferred sweeteners, and any desired add ins.
