How to Make Hot Apple Cider using Essential Oils

  • Author: Danielle @ It's a Love/Love Thing
  • Total Time: 25 minutes +
  • Yield: 8 cups 1x

Description

A delicious hot apple cider recipe, using therapeutic-grade essential oils for the spices rather than dried spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups apple cider (can also use apple juice, but I prefer the cider)
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 8 whole allspice berries
  • 4 drops cinnamon bark essential oil
  • 4 drops clove bud essential oil
  • 4 drops wild orange essential oil
  • 4 drops lemon essential oil

Instructions

Bring all ingredients to a boil and simmer at least 15 minutes, but you can simmer in a crock pot on low all day if you want. Serve! Yum!

Notes

You can also slice an apple and add it in just for aesthetics.

I know there are many different essential oil brands out there, and many claim to be therapeutic. I have tried many different brands, and there’s a reason I went with doTERRA, who tests their oils seven different ways. The oils that have supplement facts on the label. The ones which are pure enough to put in hot apple cider. Please take note, and don’t try to ingest an inferior oil. It’s not worth it.
