This week’s Friday Fast Fix is a great way to be frugal and healthy at the same time.
Many, many times when I make a smoothie, even after serving all of us, there will be about a cup left over that we didn’t use. I used to cringe pouring this liquid gold out until it dawned on me: why throw it out?
Waste Not, Want Not
Now I just pour the leftover smoothie into an ice cube tray and freeze it. I keep the smoothie cubes in a container in the freezer, ready to go for our next round.
Leftover Smoothie Problem: Solved
Just pop a few into the next smoothie, and enjoy. 🙂 This is especially helpful for when you are low on fruit but still want a nice refreshing smoothie!
Note: this method of saving leftover smoothies is meant for freshly made and poured smoothies. It is not intended to save smoothies that have been sitting out for a long period of time.
Here are our favorite smoothie add-ins. Have a happy Friday, beloved readers!
