You know what’s even better than having a wonderful husband?
Having a wonderful husband who also creates recipes for your blog. My hubby was grilling some catfish this weekend, and decided to get creative with some pears we had sitting around. Here’s what he did. . .
- 3 pears, sliced into 1/4″ slices
- 2 tablespoons coconut palm sugar – you can see that here
- Barbecue grill
Spread the pears and sprinkle sugar on top. Then just grill for a few minutes, until tender.
It creates a really neat, interesting flavor with the smoke from the grill and the caramelized sugar. We ate them as is but they would be great added to a salad or blended into a puree. Might be good with some pork chops. Do your thing!
